Mission Statement

We here at The Long War Interviews, want to bring the history, knowledge, and experience of the last 20 years of war to everyone.

The United States has been constantly at war since 9/11. From Afghanistan and Iraq, to dozens of smaller conflicts around the globe, many Americans don't know anything about the wars we’ve been fighting.

We're here to fix that.

We're going to interview 100 people who shaped, fought in, and lived through all of America's recent military adventures.

From soldiers and sailors to politicians and members of the press, we're bringing you inside the rooms where policy was crafted and where battles were fought.

This show is non-political. We don't favor any one interpretation of what happened, we're only interested in hearing from the men and women who were there.

Our guests will be liberal and conservative, pro-war and anti-intervention. Our goal is tell the story of what happened and why, and leave it up to you to judge how it turned out.

Our editorial independence is important, so we will not take corporate advertising. This show will always be free, both for you the listener, and free from interference.

Instead of taking ad money, we will allow our guests to promote a charity that helps veterans and their families. Think of it as targeted ways to help, instead of targeted things to buy.

We've got a lot of ground to cover, let's get started.
